To be born again simply means to accept the sacrifice Jesus made for your sins upon the cross. The sins of Adam in the garden of Eden brought upon all men the sin nature. This means that all men are sinners and naturally break God's commandments. The scriptures says in
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
When God created man in the garden of eden he gave man the task of keeping the garden and protecting the garden. Adam disobeyed God and sinned. From then all men became sinners. The consequence of man's sin was to be an eternal purnishment in hell fire.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
In other to provide a way of escape for man, God in His love for man sent His only Son Jesus to die for man's sins and under go the purnishment which man was destined to go through because of his sins.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus died on the cross 2,000years ago, went to hell fire for three days and rose again on the third day. When Jesus was killed by the jews, he did nothing worthy of death. He lived a just and an upright life throughout his days on earth yet the devil moved the jews to kill him.
This was an act of injustice. God in his infinite wisdom had allowed the devil to pertuated such act in order to provide a platform for releasing all who are guilty of death. Now God has set the death of Jesus on the cross as a subsititute for all who believe on Him.
Rom 3:24-26 Amplified Translation
[All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
Whom God put forward [ before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment.
It was to demonstrate and prove at the present time ( in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus.
If you accept that the Jesus died in your place then you shall be saved.
If you would like to make that decision now, then repeat these words out loud;
Say 'Lord Jesus, i open my heart unto you. I received you as my lord and saved. I believe you died for my sins, and that you rose again for my justification. Holy spirit, come into my heart now and make me a new creation. Thank you father for saving my soul, i am born again now in Jesus name'
If you prayer that prayer then you are saved. The scriptures says, with heart man believes unto righteousness and with the heart confession is made unto salvation.
