The root of the money problem.

Different people have different philosophies about money and they have different reasons why they do not have money the way they want. Too many people have pushed the blame of their lack of money away from themselves and placed it on almost anything you can imagine.

Some think they are were they are right now because there is no one to help them, either with a job or with a connection. Others attribute their money problem to the devil, their parents or wrong course studied in the university. You could go on and on in the list as some have answered that question by attributing it to an event in the past, being born without a golden spoon in their mouth and so on.

Hosea4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

God attributes the money problem here to lack of knowledge. Ignorance is the root cause of the money problem. Prov.4:7 says, "wisdom is the principal thing"

Before we can correct or solve your money problem we have to first correct what you think is the root cause. Wrong thinking itself automatically paralyzes you such that you would not be able to take hold of Gods provisions for you. Gideon was a mighty man of valor who had settled for a cave life because of wrong thinking. He thought God was not with him whereas God was with him all the time. Its interesting to note that God can be with a man who is going through crisis and not be able to change that mans situation if that mans mind does not change.

Stop passing the blame. Before you can really be stirred up for a change in your finances you must accept responsibility for your being broke financially. You are responsible for your financial situation and you cannot address issues in your life if you always push the blame on some one. Take responsibility; God says your ignorance is what is destroying your finances, not your uncle or your bad job. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. To fear God means to respect his word and to accept it as true even if it hurts.

How will that desired change come in your finances?

Proverbs11:9b says, "Through knowledge shall the just be delivered"

This says a lot, this tells us that it is possible for a just man to be in financial captivity and be in need for deliverance. It also makes it clear that if any just man wants real financial freedom he must reach for knowledge. Too many people cry to God for financial miracles without first stopping the cause of the financial crisis. That's like giving blood transfusion to some who is bleeding in his foot without first attempting to stop the bleeding foot. The transfused blood will drain off as quickly as it was transfused. Jesus told many of the people he healed after healing them to go and sin no more because the root cause of the disease was their sin. I will not give you a gift which is precious to me if it is certain that you will loose it.

There are principles which if applied will produce financial abundance. That is why deut.8:18 says, 'God is he that giveth thee wisdom to get wealth'. Ignorance is the root cause of poverty to many just men. If you are a just man, learn that wisdom is the principal thing; not one the principal but the principal thing for financial prosperity and if you must prosper you must have the necessary wisdom.

John8:32 says, 'ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.'

The truth you do not know you cannot use neither can what you do not know work for you.
